Hidden Landscapes Volume 2

Some of you may remember that in January 2011, Audio Gourmet teamed up with Hibernate Records to make a compilation album themed around winter and colder weather.

Thanks to Hibernate, the compilation (which featured a solid all round line-up) was realised in a limited edition CD format to back up a digital version on Audio Gourmet. The CD, which was available through the Hibernate shop quickly sold out at source whilst the digital edition can still be streamed and downloaded on the Audio Gourmet website.

After such success, we decided that it would be great to organise a second edition. We got Bartosz Dziadosz (Pleq) on-board helping with curation duties and managed to pull together a truly fantastic line up of artists, spanning all of the many different sub-genres of the modern 'ambient' music scene.
Jonathan from Hibernate headed up with design and CD distribution as before and I think you'll all agree, his stunning misty landscape cover image really ties this solid compilation album together.

A huge thanks to everybody involved, from Hibernate to Bartosz, and all of the artists who kindly spent the time making something for Hidden Landscapes 2.
There is no Spheruleus track for this; instead, I decided along with Bartosz to include an excerpt of a track from our new project The Frozen Vaults. It is taken from our album '1816', themed around one of the harshest winters on record - which of course, fits neatly into the concept of Hidden Landscapes. More news will follow about The Frozen Vaults, but in the meantime you can buy a copy of the Hidden Landscapes 2 compilation here:
